So even when you stretch your feet alone or lengthen your toes, the effects ripple upward&mdash;releasing tightness in your legs, easing tension in your back, and softening the muscles around your forehead.<br />So we can tune and balance our whole body simply by doing a little work on our tootsies!<ul><li>Toe Pulls: Sit comfortably and gently pull each toe back, one at a time, holding for 10&ndash;15 seconds. This helps open the small joints and activate the fascial lines.</li><li>Foot Rolling: Use a tennis ball or massage ball under your foot, rolling slowly from your heel to your toes. This stimulates circulation and loosens the connective tissue.</li><li>&nbsp;Standing Calf &amp; Foot Stretch: Stand and place the ball of your foot on a step or low ledge. Gently press your heel down, feeling the stretch through your arch and calf.</li><li>&nbsp;Toe Splays: Spread your toes apart as much as you can, holding for a few seconds before releasing. Repeat 10 times to strengthen and mobilise the foot.</li><li>Seated Foot Flex: While sitting, extend one leg, flex your foot back towards your shin and then point your toes forward. Even brief exposure to nature has been shown to make us more altruistic and cooperative, and being close to indoor plants elicits an unconscious calming effect!<br />A growing body of research has established a strong link between mental health and exposure to nature.
